Data signals
This section documents signals that retrieve various kinds of raw data, either data from our data partners that you subscribe to, or data that you or somebody in your organization has uploaded to Exabel.
The main function for retrieving data is the data() function. In addition, for some data vendors, there are tailored functions for retrieving data. This is the case for FactSet and Visible Alpha, as it allows us to provide convenient expressions for these very central datasets, and Similarweb, since their data are retrieved from their own API, rather than from our database.
These signals can be used directly, or you can apply signal transformations to them before you use them in the Signal Explorer, in models or elsewhere on the platform.
